Job summary

Pennsylvania Courts is seeking a legal counsel and ethics counselor to assist the Executive Director/Counsel of the Judicial Ethics Advisory Board. You will review requests for ethical guidance from Judicial Officers and draft Advisory Opinions under the Code of Judicial Conduct.

Duties include researching case law, coordinating with board panels, and preparing opinions for monthly meetings. Travel and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ABA-approved school of law.
• Admission to and a member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and ethics guidance to the Judicial Ethics Advisory Board.
• Draft Advisory Opinions and general ethics guidance for publication.
• Research applicable case law and ethics opinions to support Board decisions.
• Assist with JEAB educational programs and presentations.
