ProSidian seeks a Judicial Branch Attorney-Advisor in Washington, DC to support Probation and Pretrial Services Office (PPSO) on redesigning a bail report. The engagement focuses on reframing risk assessments and ensuring objective release recommendations, with a team of PPSO administrators and staff.

The role requires bar membership, J.D. degree, and ability to conduct legal research, draft opinions, and advise on statutory interpretations. Travel and background checks may be required.

Qualificações

• Active bar membership in a U.S. state, territory, DC, or federal court.
• Minimum two years of post-J.D. experience.
• Law degree (J.D.) from ABA-accredited school.
• Experience interpreting statutes, regulations, and case law; conducting legal research; and drafting opinions.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on legal and policy matters; analyze DoJ components; resolve legal questions; provide guidance on opinions; review factors under 18 U.S.C. § 3142(g).
• Review and analyze orders and regulations related to 18 U.S.C. § 3142; support PPSO activities.
• Provide staff support to the Judicial Conference Committee on Criminal Law.
• Research, evaluate, and analyze trends, statutes, cases, and issues affecting probation and pretrial services.
• Develop, analyze, and prepare legal opinions and briefs on pending legislation and policies.
