Qualifications

  • High School Graduate/GED or equivalent workers' compensation experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply rules and regulations.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze requests for Informal Conferences for compliance with Rules and Regulations.
  • Schedule informal conferences to create and manage dockets.
  • Process settlements and update award information in the case management system.
  • Generate Commission fines and apply payments in the case management system.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries from the public, staff, claimants, and attorneys; provide claim file status.
  • Process Letters of Representation.
  • Process requests for copies and payments for copy service.
  • Alternate to the Mail room clerk and receptionist.
