Job summary

SAIC seeks a Joint Terminal Attack Controller Instructor (JTAC-I) training analyst to deliver JTAC classroom and range training in Fallon, NV for NAWDC. The role involves operating a JTAC simulator, evaluating students, and updating curricula with a focus on live controls and TTPs.

Ideal candidates bring combat experience, strong public speaking skills, and at least eight years in training and staff-level communication. Proficiency with M&S systems (VRSG/MACE), and JCAS doctrine is essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with Bachelor’s degree and 10 years experience or 4 additional years in lieu of degree and an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• JTAC Instructor Qualification per JTAC MOA
• Operational experience with Joint Air Operations and multiple services
• Minimum 8 years managing large, complex projects and briefing senior staff
• Proven expertise in JCAS/JTAC doctrine and execution in joint operations
• Experience as a JCAS operator/technician and equipment upgrades
• Strong public speaking and training development skills

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, practical, simulator, and field instruction to JTAC students
• Evaluate student performance and determine initial JTAC qualification eligibility
• Maintain currency of JTAC course syllabus aligning with JP 3-09 and TTPs
• Assist NAWDC JTAC Course and maintain Joint Staff accreditation as a JTAC school
• Support safety drills and ORM with Navy and local EMS partners
• Support air wing training during Fallon events and NAWDC/JCAS activities
• Develop TTPs and review JCAS/JF policy with the JFS ESC
• Maintain and upgrade JCAS equipment and perform live CAS instruction
