Job summary

QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, LLC seeks a highly motivated EHS/Industrial Hygiene professional to join our team operating in Puerto Rico and the US. You will provide analytical support across safety, environmental, and occupational health disciplines, lead safety program initiatives, and contribute to audits and incident investigations.

You will engage with cross-functional teams, develop standard procedures, and deliver compliant training aligned with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Industrial Hygiene preferred; or Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field; or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or similar.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 PSM or equivalent regulations.
• Experience developing safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Ability to lead small projects and manage timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and implementation support across safety, occupational health, process safety, and ergonomics.
• Consult with lines on safety issues and assess risk and compliance.
• Participate in audits, corrective action plans, and incident investigations.

In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities:

• Provides analytical and implementation support in the following areas: safety, contractor safety, occupational health, process safety, fire protection, environmental, distribution, and ergonomics.
• May provide consultation to the line on safety issues.
• Provides independent evaluation and determines if work can continue under current safety conditions.
• Participate in audits and assist in the development of corrective action plans based on the results of the audits.
• Assist with development and implementation of OSHA related programs.
• Participate in re-validations.
• Develop or revise procedures to meet OSHA standards. Assist in the development and implementation or revision of procedures and training programs.
• Participate in incident investigation activities, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and closure.
• Perform Ergonomic evaluations of company task.
• Evaluate and assess EHS risks (e.g. chemical, particulate matter, and mechanical) associated with process and support equipment.
• Conduct Jab Hazard Assessments and Personal Protective Equipment evaluations and assessments.
• Perform workplace surveys and data collection for noise or indoor air quality concerns. Suggest and perform occupational exposure assessments monitoring in work areas.
• Work with chemical assessment and sampling equipment for industrial hygiene assessments.
• Reviewing current specifications and collecting data as necessary to assess risk and or compliance.
• Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene (preferred); or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited university; or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Hiring manager information: Strong background Industrial Hygienist applications like, Ideagen. Knowledge and experience in Ergonomic Evaluations. Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM) or equivalent regulatory requirements.
• Experience writing, developing, and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Experience leading and managing small projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to deliver projects on time.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, influential working relationships.
