Job description

In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities
  • Examine, diagnose and correct operational problems related to manufacturing equipment in the manufacturing and plant building areas.
  • Must install and integrate new machines or plant facility equipment and ensure their proper operation in compliance with established quality and manufacturing procedures. Must be able to upgrade existing equipment, as required.
  • Must ensure proper equipment operation in compliance with quality and manufacturing procedures.
  • Must repair and provide maintenance to manufacturing equipment using sophisticated testing equipment, specialized manuals and plant SOPs.
  • Must support production lines to maintain machines and manufacturing equipment working in excellent conditions.
  • Disassemble equipment or machinery, disconnect controls and remove defective parts so they may be repaired or substituted and perform preventive maintenance according to established standards.
  • Must be able to work in the machine shop to fabricate parts.
  • Must complete validation execution on new and existing machines.
  • Manually (ex: checker chart) and/or electronically (ex: POMs) document the required information during shift changes to comply with applicable procedures and specifications. This information includes but is not limited to process parameters, lots, production amounts, and others.
  • Must prepare documentation of all changes performed on the equipment, including mechanical and electrical blueprints.
  • Responsible for conducting EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects.

  • Must have basic knowledge of hand tools, precision tools, machine shop tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and comply with deadlines for projects, be a self-starter, and have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work weekend shifts
