Quality Consulting Group, LLC seeks a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in a world-class manufacturing environment. You will ensure suppliers meet quality standards, support audits, and drive supplier-related improvements across NPD activities.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with strong English communication and the ability to work remotely with internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
  • 1 year of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services meeting requirements.
  • Support supplier qualification and evaluation per company standards.
  • Monitor supplier issues during manufacturing and aid in resolution of quality problems.
  • Develop and prioritize supplier audit schedules to meet GMP and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Component Engineers on Product Acceptance Sampling, Approved Supplier List, and supplier quality controls.

In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure suppliers consistently deliver quality parts, materials, and services that meet company requirements.
  • Support the qualification and evaluation of suppliers according to established company standards.
  • Monitor supplier-related issues throughout the manufacturing cycle and assist in identifying and resolving quality problems.
  • Support the development and prioritization of supplier audit schedules to ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier processes and internal functions to assess overall performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide Supplier Quality support to New Product Development (NPD) activities in collaboration with Component Engineering and Post-Market Supplier Quality teams.
  • Support quality and regulatory compliance throughout the NPD lifecycle for newly qualified parts and components.
  • Assist in developing strategies to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement in supplier and product quality.
  • Collaborate with Component Engineers on Product Acceptance Sampling Strategies, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality, and Control Plans.
  • Support the definition of Receiving Inspection requirements and associated test method validation for internal Medtronic test methods.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to work with standard business and engineering systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to understand and apply quality standards, procedures, and requirements.
  • Interest in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Medical Devices, or New Product Development is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication with internal teams.
