Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an operations research analyst to join the Joint Test & Evaluation Support Cell (JTSC) in Detroit. The role involves conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to support JT&E nominations and execution, applying statistics, modeling, and operations research to improve mission effectiveness.

You will develop data-driven solutions, use computer-based tools, identify risks, and contribute to planning and evaluation in a dynamic, joint environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Or a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 10+ years of ORSA-related government experience.
• Proficiency in statistics, data analysis techniques, computer analysis tools, basic modeling and simulation, and human factors analysis.
• Experience developing test and evaluation plans (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support JT&E projects and enhance operational decision-making.
• Apply statistical methods, modeling & simulation techniques, and operations research methodologies to assess joint military operations and improve mission effectiveness.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to optimize military operations, force readiness, and strategic planning.
• Utilize computer-based analytical tools to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify risks, limitations, and operational challenges in joint military environments and recommend analytical solutions.
• Applying process modeling and analytical techniques to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Conducting problem decomposition, concept development, and data-driven analysis to support joint military operations.
• Providing parametric and non-parametric statistics, data analysis techniques, computer analysis tools, basic modeling and simulation applications, and survey test and evaluation methods.
