Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hands-on experience with Linux, AWS, container platforms, and automation.
• Experience with Linux system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, design, or evaluation.
• Experience with AWS supporting cloud infrastructure, deployments, or automated DevSecOps pipelines.
• Experience administering or supporting Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS EKS.
• Experience using scripting/automation: Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform.
• Familiarity with IaC concepts and automated infrastructure management.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and Agile/SDLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and AWS infrastructure.
• Administer and support containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS EKS.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop scripts using Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform to automate infrastructure management and deployment.
• Support IaC practices to streamline cloud provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex build systems, deployment failures, and production issues.
• Assist with systems engineering activities including design, integration, evaluation, and documentation.
• Support identification and resolution of hardware, software, and configuration deficiencies.
• Participate in Agile development and continuous process improvement.
• Provide prescheduled after-hours deployment support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant hands-on technical experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, or related technical environments.

• Experience with Linux systems engineering, including system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, design, or evaluation.

• Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) supporting cloud infrastructure, application deployments, or automated DevSecOps pipelines.

• Experience administering or supporting at least one container platform: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS EKS.

• Experience using scripting or automation technologies such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and automated infrastructure management.

• Experience working with complex software build systems and automated CI/CD processes.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, and security teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing back-end software applications.

• Knowledge of Java programming.

• Experience configuring OpenSearch clusters and managing index lifecycles.

• Familiarity with security scanning tools, vulnerability identification, and remediation processes.

• Additional experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps automation.

• Experience supporting DevSecOps practices within federal or enterprise IT environments.

Work Schedule

• Prescheduled after-hours support may be required for software deployments. These activities may occur on an irregular schedule.
