Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Jr. R&D Data Engineer in Edison, NJ to assist the R&D and Product Testing groups by building and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure.

You will help expand the research support tool suite and contribute to data-driven decisions in battery testing at our Edison facility. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience, with strong scripting, Python, SQL, Linux, and Git skills,

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D and Product Testing group by building and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and automated reporting infrastructure.
• Maintain data infrastructure for battery cycling lab data transfer, metadata database, and Linux server.
• Develop and support dashboards for data plotting, experiment tracking, test tracking, and build & materials tracking.
• Develop and support new automated data pipelines and dashboards for future projects.
• Customize and integrate data solutions for tests at the Edison facility.
• Support custom data reporting and tracking requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D staff to extend the research support tool suite.

For more information about Eos (NASDAQ: EOSE), visit eose.com.Assist R&D and Product Testing group’s efforts by building and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and other automated reporting infrastructure.## Responsibilities* Maintain data infrastructure for Eos battery cycling lab, including data transfer processes, metadata database, and linux server.* Maintain and develop R&D’s research management tool suite, including data plotting, experiment tracking, test tracking, and build & materials tracking dashboards.* Develop and support new automated data pipelines and dashboards to support future R&D and Product Testing projects. In particular, customize and integrate data solutions for string and container level systems testing exercises at the Edison facility.* Support custom data reporting and tracking requirements.* Work with R&D staff to maintain and execute development plan for build out of research support tool suite for continual improvement and to address new requirements as they arise.## Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Strong general-purpose scripting skills* Experience with data visualization* Python strongly preferred (numerical/data packages such as Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, etc... beneficial).* Some knowledge of SQL databases.* Basic familiarity with Linux.* Ability to work independently and well within a team.* Experience with versioning tools (git) and generating documentation.Any of the below are beneficial:* Experience building interactive dashboards* Experience with automated data handling systems* Experience with plotly dash.* Experience interfacing with physical hardware interfaces from sensors/data acquisition platforms.## Education and Experience* Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a physical science or similar required.* Minimum of 2 years' experience.## Working Conditions* Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
