Position: Software QA Engineer (Manual Testing)

Location: India (Remote)

Work Hours: UK Business Hours

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing across various applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards.
• Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements to develop effective test cases and scenarios.
• Perform testing types including functional, regression, system, and exploratory testing.
• Report and track defects using industry-standard tools, with clear documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting activities.
• Validate fixes and ensure defects are resolved before releases.
• Provide feedback to enhance usability, functionality, and overall quality of applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork.
