Job summary

Stellar IT Solutions LLC is seeking a Jr- to Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join our growing team in Dallas, TX, with potential remote options as per project needs. You will work on developing and modifying full-stack applications using Java with Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies and own stories from sprint planning to delivery. Basic SQL querying, RESTful API work, and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and basic testing are

Qualifications

• 2–4 years hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Strong fundamentals, willing to learn DTCC standards.
• Experience in Agile teams, ownership of stories and tasks.
• Exposure to AI tools (GitHub Copilot) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in Agile teams, taking ownership of assigned stories and tasks.
• Develop and modify full-stack features using Java/Spring Boot and front-end frameworks.
• Write basic to intermediate SQL queries and ensure data integrity.
• Follow DTCC engineering standards, security guidelines and compliance on onboarding.

Job Description:

Overall Experience & Mindset

• Early‑career to developing engineer with ~2–4 years of hands‑on experience in full‑stack application development.
• Demonstrates strong fundamentals, willingness to learn DTCC standards, and the ability to grow with guidance from senior engineers.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams, taking ownership of assigned stories and tasks.
• AI tool exposure like Github copilot is a plus but not required.

Technical Expectations

• Solid understanding of Java and Spring Boot fundamentals.
• Experience building or modifying RESTful APIs.
• Basic knowledge of microservices concepts (service boundaries, configuration, logging).
• Familiarity with messaging concepts (Kafka/JMS) is a plus, but deep expertise is not required at this level.
• Uses structured logging and understands basic error handling.

Frontend Development

• Working knowledge of Angular or React (components, services, state basics).
• Ability to build simple UI features and integrate them with backend APIs.
• Understanding of basic UI/UX principles and accessibility awareness (at least at a conceptual level).

Database & SQL

• Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries:
  • SELECT, JOINs
  • WHERE clauses
  • GROUP BY / ORDER BY
• Understands relational database concepts (tables, indexes, primary/foreign keys).

Development Practices & Tools

• Comfortable using an IDE (IntelliJ, VS Code, or Eclipse).
• Familiar with Git (branching, pull requests, resolving conflicts).
• Exposure to unit testing (JUnit / Jest or similar).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Willingness to follow DTCC engineering standards, security guidelines, and compliance requirements once onboarded.
• General familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or similar).
• High‑level understanding of containers (Docker) and platform concepts (OpenShift/Kubernetes) is sufficient.
• No expectation to design infrastructure independently at this level.
