Job summary

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 2–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in labor and employment law.
• Experience handling litigation through multiple phases, including discovery, motions, and depositions.

Position Overview

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 2 to 3 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior attorney to build a sophisticated management-side labor and employment practice representing employers throughout California.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling employment litigation matters through various stages of the dispute lifecycle, from initial case assessment through resolution. The position offers exposure to single-plaintiff employment disputes, wage-and-hour litigation, class actions, PAGA matters, mediations, and strategic employment litigation counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Defend employers in labor and employment litigation matters.


• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution.


• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.


• Propound and respond to written discovery.


• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.


• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $195,000 to $230,000 annually.

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.
