Job summary

JPMorgan in New York seeks a Private Client Business Practices Program/Project Manager to lead impactful initiatives, organize cross‑functional efforts, and deliver compliant processes that protect clients and the firm.

You will partner with Private leadership and peers across Consumer and Wealth lines to scope, plan and manage projects, and to drive risk‑aware solutions with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 5+ years of project management and process design experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own creation of business processes and controls to maintain compliance with stakeholders in Business, Legal, Risk, Controls and Compliance.
  • Manage smaller projects supporting the Private Client agenda and implementation of processes and controls.
  • Establish strong working relationships with workstream leads, business stakeholders, peers, and subject matter experts.
  • Act as a Thought Leader to drive problem‑solving and identify business solutions.
  • Produce or contribute to reporting needs and facilitate meetings at various levels.
  • Review data and metrics related to risk mitigation and program success.
  • Influence leaders with clear, actionable written and verbal communication.

Join the JPMorgan Private Business Practices Team, where you'll have the opportunity to lead impactful projects, collaborate with industry experts, collaborate with leaders across lines of business, and shape the future of our new business.

As a Private Client Business Practices Program/Project Manager within the JPMorgan Private Client Business Practices Team, you will be an emerging leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a wide variety of activities.

Work closely with JPMorgan Private leadership and partners to organize, manage and oversee a variety of activities aligned with our Private Client business model. You will work closely with peer groups across the Consumer and Community Bank and Asset & Wealth Management Lines of Businesses and other cross functional teams to plan, coordinate and deliver initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Business Objective: Own the creation of business processes and controls to maintain compliance by partnering with stakeholders within the Business, Legal, Risk, Controls and Compliance.
  • Project Management: Manage smaller projects supporting the JPMorgan Private Client agenda and the implementation of processes and controls.
  • Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with workstream leads, business stakeholders, peers, and subject matter experts.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a Thought Leader to drive problem-solving and identify business solutions.
  • Communication: Operate as the voice of the project, producing or contributing to various reporting needs, and facilitating meetings at the business, operational, and project levels.
  • Data Analysis: Review data and metrics related to the business with a focus on risk mitigation and program success.
  • Communication/presentation: Influence business leaders and stakeholders in a meaningful and actionable manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Education: BA/BS degree required
  • Experience: 5+ years of project management and process design experience within the Consumer/Business Deposit, Home Lending, or Wealth businesses
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a structured/analytical approach to problem-solving and the ability to help drive decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with senior management and create executive-level presentations; strong proficiency in MS Suite of products is a must.
  • Teamwork: Team player with the ability to build strong cross-business relationships
  • Adaptability: Ability to work autonomously to drive change, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities; effectively manages competing priorities to achieve optimal results in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Influence: Ability to effectively influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Expertise: Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts and experience working within Control framework and platforms (CORE, ELA, Obligation mapping)
  • Cultural Fit: Passionate culture carrier with grit, tenacity, customer obsession, and a balanced focus on ‘the what’ and ‘the how’
