Job summary

DynaTen Corporation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking a Journeyman Welder (Shop) to fit and weld commercial mechanical piping and assemblies. You will follow approved procedures and quality requirements while supporting safe, productive shop operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in commercial pipe welding, the ability to read piping isometrics and welding symbols, and a commitment to safety. We offer excellent benefits and strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial pipe welding experience.
• Ability to read piping isometrics, weld maps, and specs.
• Able to pass project- or company-required weld tests.
• Knowledge of hot-work permits, PPE, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, weld maps, and work packages before fabrication.
• Prepare joints, verify fit-up, select consumables, and weld per procedures.
• Inspect welds, identify defects, and perform repairs per quality standards.
• Coordinate fit-up, rigging, and sequencing with pipefitters and leaders.
• Mentor apprentices in safe work practices and welding prep.
