Job summary

Teleios Defense Solutions, LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Journeyman Weapon Systems Engineer to apply advanced Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing to the full lifecycle of weapon system development.

The role requires 5–10 years of defense or aerospace experience, an ABET-accredited Electrical or Aerospace Engineering degree, and proficiency in Python, C++, ANSYS, AFSIM or MATLAB with clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

As an Engineer at Teleios, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting projects, including:

• Development and execution of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and Systems Performance Analysis.
• Weapon System hardware and software prototyping.
• Development, integration, and testing of Weapon System components (Guidance Electronics Units, Sensors/Seekers, Control Actuation Systems, etc.) in a Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) environment.
• Seeker/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, seeker/sensor hardware, and/or test support for live fire test events.

What You'll Bring

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
• Professional Experience: 5–10 years in the defense or aerospace industry.
• HWIL Expertise: Proven ability to integrate and test seeker/sensor hardware within a simulated environment.
• Versatility: Ability to transition between "the math" (algorithm development) and "the metal" (hardware testing and live fire support).
• Communication Skills: Comfortable interacting and presenting to government customers and management.
• Team Player: Good people skills and a desire to collaborate with a highly technical team.
• Experience with PYTHON, C++, ANSYS, AFSIM and/or MATLAB.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
