Job summary

Vollrath Company in Wisconsin seeks a certified Tool & Die journeyman to plan and execute bench and machine operations, prototype tooling, and build dies, gauges and fixtures. The role requires high skill in tool building and interpretation of complex CAD drawings.

Responsibilities include setup of manual and CNC equipment, inspection to tight tolerances, and documentation of processes. Benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

Ability to read complex CAD models and drawings with close tolerances.
Strong shop mathematics and handbook formulas knowledge.
Experience in fabricating tools, dies, jigs and fixtures.
Proficient in setup and operation of manual and CNC machines.

Responsibilities

Lay out work processes and sequences to fabricate tools.
Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders and related machines.
Assemble dies and fixtures and run tryout tests.
Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
Review blueprints to plan operation sequences and tolerances.
Work with CAD models and CAD/CAM programs for tooling.
Perform precision boring, threading and surface finishing.
