Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in California seeks journey-level Electrician-General Construction to support on-site projects across the service territory. Travel to various headquarters as needed; perform prints verification, conduit and electrical installs, high voltage safety, and equipment rigging.

Represented by IBEW Local 1245; provisional training may be required; LOA pay premiums for certain divisions; pre-employment tests apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• California Class C Driver's License required.
• Successful completion of a Union Sanctioned JATC Inside Wireman Apprenticeship.
• Ability to travel across PG&E’s service territory.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and modify prints and electric schematics.
• Install equipment and wiring including conduit and panels.
• Operate power tools and perform high voltage safety tasks.
• Transport equipment between sites and perform rigging as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with PPE requirements.
