Job summary

A leading solar energy company is looking for a Solar Electrician (Journeyman) to provide technical expertise at PV plant sites in Bakersfield, CA. Responsibilities include maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing system failures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and overseeing site operations. A CA Journeyman license and at least 1 year of electrical experience are required. The position offers a competitive salary of $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, health benefits, and other employee perks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of electrical experience with electrical license.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
• Familiarity with RS485, Modbus, tcp/ip.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair system failures on solar sites.
• Ensure a safe, event-free work environment.
• Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits.
• Communicate effectively with customers and project managers.

Skills

Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers' certifications

Thermography certifications (Level 1)

IT/networking skills

Knowledge of National Electrical Code

Understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices

Education
