Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Traveling Licensed Journeyman Electrician to perform service work across our commercial and industrial client environments. The role requires independent work, strong troubleshooting, and reliability with a focus on safety and customer service.

Candidates must have experience as Commercial/Industrial electricians and be available for travel within the state and surrounding states. Long assignments of 3–6 weeks may be required, with potential overtime and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair or install updates for systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and install wiring or other components to fix lighting, panels, and generators.
• Conduct tests to ensure newly installed systems are operational.
• Ensure electrical systems meet codes and safety requirements.
• Adhere to project safety requirements set by Wachter, customers, or OSHA.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Wachter is accepting applications for a Traveling licensed Journeyman Electricianfor service work for our clients in various commercial and industrial environments. We are looking for candidates who have experience as an Industrial and Commercial Electrician, and loves to travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair broken electrical components, and install updates for outdated electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational.
• Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

Requirements

• Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
• Available for travel in your state and surrounding states as needed per the job.
• Travel could be 3 to 6 weeks at a time before coming home.
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the job requires.
• Available to work overtime as needed.
• Dependable – must show up to work on time daily.
• Must have reliable transportation with insurance, driving your own vehicle as needed until approved for a company vehicle.
• Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines.
• Has basic hand tools and PPE.
• Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
• Able to pass drug and background screening.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
