Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking a Transportation Repair Technician in Bend, Oregon. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of school vehicles, including gasoline and diesel buses, performing engine and transmission overhauls and road tests.

Must hold an Oregon Class B Commercial Driver's License with a School Bus Driver's Certificate. Expect field and shop work, safety adherence, and recordkeeping for parts and labor. This is a full-time on-site role within the Transportation department.

Qualifications

• Standard automotive repair practices and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines and automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read repair manuals and follow instructions.
• Valid Oregon Class B CDL and School Bus Driver's Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent; journeyman standards within two years.

Responsabilités

• Inspect equipment and diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform journey-level repairs on gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Replace/repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and related components.
• Road-test repaired buses to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain repair records including labor hours and parts used.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean/work area.
• Drive/operate vehicles and use diagnostic equipment.
