Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a skilled scaffold worker to install and maintain scaffolding for construction and maintenance projects. You will read plans, ensure safety standards, and work with the crew to support productive operations on site.

Eligible candidates have 2–4 years in scaffolding or related fields, with required OSHA 10 and preferred OSHA 30 and Competent Person certs. This full-time role is on-site with DPR's teams across projects in Georgia.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
  • 2–4 years of scaffolding, construction, or related field experience.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required; OSHA 30-Hour preferred.
  • Scaffold Competent Person certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding per project specs and safety rules.
  • Inspect components and assemblies for stability and compliance with standards.
  • Interpret plans, blueprints, and work orders for accurate installations.
  • Coordinate with team to plan tasks and address site access needs.
  • Maintain scaffolding materials, tools, and safety equipment in good condition.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards to supervision promptly.
  • Document work performed, inspections, and materials used for project tracking.

Job Summary

Assembles, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding systems to support safe and efficient access for construction and maintenance activities. Applies technical knowledge to interpret plans, assess site conditions, and ensure scaffolds meet project requirements and safety standards. Works collaboratively with crew members to maintain productivity, adapt to site conditions, and promote a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erects, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding systems according to project specifications and safety requirements.
  • Inspects scaffold components and assembled structures for stability, alignment, and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Interprets plans, blueprints, and work orders to perform scaffold installations accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinates with team members and leadership to plan tasks and address site-specific access needs.
  • Maintains scaffolding materials, tools, and safety equipment in proper working condition.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe conditions, damaged components, or potential hazards to supervision promptly.
  • Documents work performed, including inspection results and materials used, to support project tracking and safety compliance.
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in scaffolding, construction, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
  • Scaffold Competent Person Certification preferred.
