Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks a Journeyman Plumber for Naval Support Activity Bethesda. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of complex plumbing, gas, heating, and drainage systems in a government facility.

Requires five years' experience and Maryland Journeyman License; ability to read blueprints and work with safety standards; on-site work, possible on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of commercial, industrial, institutional, or government facilities plumbing experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Maryland Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter License as required by the Government contract.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair using standard tools.
• Backflow Certification preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing installation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of plumbing systems.
• Installs, repairs, and replaces piping, valves, fixtures, pumps, water heaters, backflow devices, and related equipment.
• Diagnoses plumbing system failures and determines repair methods.
• Reads blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and schematics.
• Plans work layouts and sequences installations to minimize disruption to facility operations.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and documents work performed.
