Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking Journeyman Plumbers for our tenant improvement team in California. The role supports commercial new construction and TI projects, with night shifts Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 p.m.

to 6:00 a.m., and a focus on safety and quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of relevant experience, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience.
• Valid driver license with an insurable driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Verbal and written English literacy for communication

Responsibilities

• Attach or install plumbing pipes such as: PVC, ABS, Cast Iron (no hub) and/or copper
• Mount new fixtures according to manufacturer specifications and municipal codes
• Install service for grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste, water systems and utilities within a commercial retail environment
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites including digging trenches, setting braces, erecting scaffolding and cleaning debris
• Properly use equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters
• Read and layout from blueprints, plans and isometric drawings
• Must work according to OSHA safety guidelines and policies
• Willingness to take on additional duties to support the department

Position Overview

We are currently seeking Journeyman Plumbers to join our tenant improvement team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial new construction or tenant improvement projects and be available to work Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Attach or install plumbing pipes such as: PVC, ABS, Cast Iron (no hub) and/or copper
• Mount new fixtures according to manufacturer specifications and municipal codes
• Install service for grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste, water systems and utilities within a commercial retail environment
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites which includes but not limited to dig trenches, set braces to support excavations sides, erect scaffolding and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials
• Properly use equipment such as a jack hammers and saw cutters
• Read and layout from blueprints, plans and isometric drawings
• Must be able to work according to current OSHA safety guidelines and policies
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department

Salary

$28 to $36 per hour (based on experience)
