Job summary

Upchurch Industrial LLC is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber for commercial mechanical construction projects in Texas. You will install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems in schools, hospitals, offices, and industrial facilities, reading blueprints and coordinating with general contractors.

Applicants must hold a valid Journeyman Plumbing License and have 4–5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with proficiency in PVC, copper, cast iron, and PEX piping, along with a strong commitment

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumbing License (state-specific).
• Minimum 4–5 years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Proficient with commercial piping systems (PVC, copper, cast iron, PEX, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong understanding of job site safety and compliance.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Install, inspect, and test plumbing systems, including water, gas, drainage, and vent piping.
• Set fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and pumps.
• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and company standards.
• Collaborate with general contractors, other trades, and supervisors to coordinate work.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines on job sites.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Mentor and guide apprentices when applicable.
