Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our commercial mechanical team. You will install, inspect, and repair plumbing systems in multi-site facilities, read blueprints, and coordinate with general contractors to keep projects on schedule and up to code.

With 4–5 years of commercial plumbing experience, you’ll work on schools, hospitals, and offices, ensuring safety and quality while mentoring apprentices. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing certification support.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumbing License (state-specific).
• 4–5 years of commercial plumbing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficient with commercial piping systems (PVC, copper, cast iron, PEX, etc.).
• Strong understanding of job site safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Install, inspect, and test plumbing systems, including water, gas, drainage, and vent piping.
• Set fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and pumps.
• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and company standards.
• Collaborate with general contractors, other trades, and supervisors to coordinate work.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines on job sites.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Mentor and guide apprentices when applicable.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber with experience in commercial mechanical construction projects. This role involves installing, assembling, and repairing plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including schools, hospitals, offices, and industrial facilities.
