  • Read and interpret contract drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and isometric plans to plan installation sequences and material needs.
  • Lay out, fit, and install pipe, offsets, bends, radiuses, hangers, valves, and fittings.
  • Assemble piping systems using mechanical connections, flanges, ProPress, soldering, brazing, grooving, threading, fusion welding, and tack welding (as applicable).
  • Cut, bevel, ream, groove, thread, and prep piping materials using hand tools, power tools, torches, and pipe fabrication equipment.
  • Perform material takeoffs and assist with proper staging and coordination of materials.
  • Install sleeves, leave‑outs, roof and wall penetrations.
  • Perform pipe testing, flushing, and inspections per project requirements (water, air, hydrostatic).
  • Support installation and maintenance of HVAC‑related piping systems, including refrigeration and condenser piping.
  • Coordinate work with other trades and assist plumbers, pipefitter/welders, HVAC, or sheet metal teams when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all company, jobsite, and OSHA safety policies.
  • Participate in Pre‑Task Safety Planning (PTSP), toolbox talks, and 6S safety practices.
  • Provide informal guidance and support to apprentices or less experienced pipefitters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on project needs.
  • 4+ years of construction pipefitting experience.
  • OSHA training preferred.
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical or trade school training preferred.
