Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and processing systems. You may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements include 3–5 years of journeyman experience, TWIC and a valid DL; no minimum education is required. Work is in industrial settings with safety as a priority, including lifting up to 50 pounds and exposure to demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using saws, torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair per specs.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids.
