Job summary

WDP in Mattawan, MI is seeking an experienced Journeyman Mold Maker to join the Tool Room team. You will build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain precision injection molds to keep our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings, programming and running CNC mills, and mentoring mold making apprentices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Toolmaker or Tool and Diemaker certification/experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings is essential.

Responsibilities

• Build, troubleshoot, and maintain precision injection molds.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize tooling and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement repair solutions.
• Read blueprints and CAD drawings to build to exact specifications.
• Program and run CNC mills.
• Operate manual machining equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Train and mentor mold making apprentices.
