Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking a journeyman lineman to perform overhead line construction and maintenance on transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems under supervision. Work may include energized lines across multiple voltage levels.

The role requires completion of ALBAT or equivalent training, a High School diploma, and a valid Class A CDL, with licensing and medical/screening as required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed ALBAT or equivalent lineman training.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Class A CDL.
• As a condition of acceptance on this job, candidates who are otherwise qualified will be required to take and pass the appropriate State/Federal driver's licensing requirements, medical testing and drug screening.
• This position is covered by the IBEW bargaining agreement.
• This position requires a 40 mile residency requirement.

Responsibilities

• Under direct but not constant supervision, to do a full range of overhead line construction and maintenance work on the electrical transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems
• to do such work on lines either dead or energized and at all voltages
• to perform similar and less skilled work as required
