Job summary

NorthWestern Energy in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain, and service electric distribution lines. The role includes opportunities to lead as foreman or leadsman, oversee safety, planning, and coordination with engineers on projects.

You will perform rubber gloving, operate bucket trucks and heavy equipment, and handle on-call duties. A CDL, First Aid/CPR, and journeyman certification are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Lineman Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Bucket truck and pole-top rescue certification.
• Commitment to safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service overhead and underground electric lines.
• Lead as foreman or leadsman, coordinating safety, paperwork, and planning.
• Troubleshoot outages and power quality across distribution systems.
• Operate heavy equipment including diggers, trenchers, bucket trucks.
• Perform rubber gloving work on high- and low-voltage lines.
• Complete project documentation and communicate with engineers.
• Work overtime or on-call as needed.
