Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Journeyman Lineman in Jacksonville, IL to perform overhead line construction and maintenance across transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems. You will work on energized lines as needed under direct supervision and contribute to reliable electric service for customers.

Applicants must complete ALBAT or equivalent lineman training, hold a High School diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid Class A CDL; licensing, medical, and drug screening

Qualifications

• Must have completed ALBAT or equivalent lineman training program.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Class A CDL.
• As a condition of acceptance, must pass state/federal licensing requirements, medical testing and drug screening.
• Position is covered by the IBEW bargaining agreement.
• Residency requirement of 25 miles.
