The ideal candidate will have proven journeyman experience, be able to read blueprints, and comply with OSHA safety standards. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential for meeting project deadlines and ensuring quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Ironworker.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and rigging techniques.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Proficient in using ironworking tools and equipment.
• Valid certifications (OSHA 10/30, rigging, welding) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Erect, align, and secure structural steel components.
• Perform rigging, hoisting, and signaling operations.
• Bolt, weld, and connect steel framework safely and accurately.
• Install metal decking, bar joists, and other structural components.
• Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations.
• Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Employment Type:Independent Contractor

Pay:$30/hour (DOE)

Per Diem:$100/day

Schedule:40–60 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Ironworker to support ongoing projects in the Merit Island, Florida area. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in structural steel erection, rigging, and ironwork safety practices. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
