Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Journeyman insulation worker to apply, remove, and repair insulation on equipment, pipes, ducts, and vessels across industrial facilities. The role involves reading blueprints, selecting materials, performing measurements, and ensuring proper sealing and protection of insulated surfaces.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of documented field experience, the ability to work in industrial environments, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Journeyman insulation worker with 3+ years field experience in insulation.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents to plan work.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blue prints, instructions and documentation to plan work activities.
• Selects insulation material suitable for location and equipment.
• Moves materials and sets up the work site.
• Covers or seals insulation and secures with appropriate fasteners and tape.
• Measures and cuts insulation, prepares surfaces for application, and installs sheet metal around pipes.
