Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 2–3 years of experience in structural steel erection and welding.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read construction plans, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Strong technical skills in steel fabrication, welding, and rigging.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to steel erection and construction.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Structural Steel Erection: layout, assembly, and installation of beams, columns, and trusses per plans.
• Perform welding and cutting operations (stick, MIG) to fabricate and repair steel components.
• Assist with rigging and hoisting using cranes and rigging gear following safety procedures.
• Adhere to safety regulations and participate in safety meetings.
• Conduct visual inspections for fit, alignment, and weld quality; assist QA testing.
• Collaborate with crew, subcontractors, and project managers to complete tasks on schedule.
