Job summary

Jetson Home Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC installer lead to supervise and execute residential heat pump installations in Columbia, MD. You will remove existing gas furnaces, install heat pump systems, and work with engineering teams to improve processes.

Strong leadership and HVAC expertise are essential. Applicants must hold a Maryland HVACR Journeyman License; BPI certification is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety and customer

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as an install team member and team lead.
• Active Maryland HVACR Journeyman License is required.
• BPI certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and building schematics.

Responsibilities

• Remove existing HVAC equipment.
• Install new heat pump systems.
• Perform routine maintenance like cleaning/replacing filters.
• Test heat pump systems for proper function.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes during install/repair.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering teams on products/processes.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client questions.
• Train team members on Jetson equipment and install procedures.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an extremely motivated and passionate HVAC installer who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. As the lead of an install crew, we are looking for individuals with deep residential install experience to help guide a lesser experienced HVAC Technician. You will be responsible for removing gas furnaces and installing heat pump systems, and collaborating with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined.

What You Will Do:

• Remove existing HVAC equipment
• Install new heat pump systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing filters
• Test heat pump systems to ensure proper functionality
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
• Train team members on the Jetson equipment and install procedures

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as an install team member and team lead
• Active Maryland HVACR Journeyman License issued by the Maryland Board of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Contractors (required).
• BPI certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations in the Denver area
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent English communications and customer service skills
• Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
• Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $38- $48 per hour
