Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Hawai`i is hiring experienced Fish Cutters for a part-time role. The position requires completing an apprenticeship, with a pay rate starting at $23/hour. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred.

You will stock and merchandise seafood; receive, cut, weigh, wrap, and price products; manage inventory and freshness; assist customers with questions and special requests. A comprehensive benefits package is offered based on classification.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must pass apprentice/training program

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood cases are stocked with fresh, high-quality products.
• Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise seafood items.
• Maintain inventory control and rotate products to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
• Attend the service case and assist customers with requests.
• Suggest samples and complementary items to boost sales.
• Operate wrapping machines and knives safely in daily tasks.

Foodland Super Market is hiring for experienced Fish Cutters to join the team!

This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).

Fish Cutters are responsible but are not limited to the below:

• ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
• receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
• proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
• attend the service case
• assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
• help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items.
• Fish cutters work with equipment like wrapping machines and knives.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds
• Must successfully pass apprentice/training program
• Must have TB Clearance
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements
