Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Journeyman Engineer for the Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Division, stationed on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD, with 30% travel to industry sites. This role supports a classified program, providing research analysis and technical domain engineering in MQE throughout acquisition.

The position requires a technical BS or BA, at least three years of related experience, DoD TS clearance (SCI eligible), and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance (SCI eligible) and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Production & Quality of an early development classified program.
• Examine suppliers and perform facilities evaluations assessing contractor design and manufacturing/quality planning activities.
• Conduct quality research and data analysis to support M&QE requirements throughout acquisition phases.
• Evaluate design producibility and manufacturing planning with respect to schedules and production plans.
• Prepare technical risk assessments for decision meetings and briefings.
• Support planning and leading design, manufacturing and quality risk reduction efforts and PRRs.
• Provide technical input for producibility and manufacturing discussions in reviews and meetings.
• Identify causes of manufacturing/quality problems and recommend solutions to M&QE and IPT.
