Job summary

Solar Alternatives, Inc. is looking for an experienced journeyman electrician to install solar, storage, and EV charging systems with a skilled crew. You’ll work on PV installations, read prints, perform material take-offs, and ensure safe, code-compliant work.

The role offers growth from journeyman to crew lead, typically Mon–Fri 40–50 hours with overtime. Compensation includes $25-35/hr, a $1,000 bonus after 90 days, and 50% health premium coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a journeyman electrician
• Working knowledge of NEC (2020/2023 preferred; 2014/2017 accepted)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Self-driven, with good time management
• Verifiable references
• Nice to have: power generation experience, OSHA 10/30, NABCEP or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Install equipment and conduit, pull wire and terminate
• Read prints and layouts and do material take-offs
• Test and record insulation resistance and IV curves
• Configure devices, and troubleshoot and repair systems
• Keep work code-compliant and the jobsite clean, and maintain your vehicle stock
• Follow safety guidelines and represent SA well with customers
