Job summary

Commercial Comm And Electric in the Phoenix area is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems within a high-tech semiconductor facility. You will support critical facility infrastructure with emphasis on reliability, safety, and cleanliness.

The ideal candidate has commercial/industrial experience, a valid journeyman license, and can work independently or with teams while following strict safety, cleanroom, and contamination-control

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship program or a minimum of four years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• Journeyman Electrician license or certification preferred where applicable.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, data centers, or mission-critical environments is preferred.
• Experience working in cleanrooms or controlled environments is highly desirable.
• Experience with critical electrical distribution and facility infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain electrical distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers, panelboards, disconnects, MCCs, motors).
• Bend, install, and terminate EMT, rigid, PVC conduit systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, equipment drawings, and construction documents.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify root causes and minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and critical facility infrastructure.
• Install electrical systems in accordance with NEC and OSHA standards and facility requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, arc-flash, PPE requirements.
• Work within cleanrooms and controlled environments with gowning and contamination-control procedures.
• Coordinate electrical work with engineers, controls technicians, trades, and contractors.
• Plan and execute electrical work while minimizing disruption to operations.
• Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning as required.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Communicate potential issues to supervision or site management.
• Train apprentices and less-experienced electricians.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Promote a safety-first culture and professional relationships with customers.
