Job summary

Hoekstra Electrical Services is seeking an experienced Industrial Service Journeyman Electrician to support manufacturing and commercial customers. You will diagnose complex electrical issues, service production equipment, and lead crews on new system installations.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring equipment power and data drops on industrial systems.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair control wiring and related circuits.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting VFDs and drive systems.
• Ability to lead a small crew safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and plans.
• Detail-oriented with a safe, quality-focused mindset.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to train and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Service and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Lead and coordinate a 2–3 person crew on projects.
• Install, wire, and commission new electrical systems.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with equipment power and data drops
• Strong control wiring and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with VFD configuration and troubleshooting
• Ability to lead a crew of 2 to 3 team members
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and drawings
• High attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• A willingness to train, mentor, and support developing team members
