Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a journey-level Electrical Technician with strong electrical and instrumentation skills. Within the first year you can earn up to $100K, with duties focused on troubleshooting and servicing production and support equipment to minimize downtime.

The role collaborates with Operations and the Mechanical Maintenance Team to provide maximum facility support, requiring safe practices and a willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of troubleshooting experience with production equipment.
• Experience with electric motors, drives and PLCs.
• Able to read plans, drawings, and schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, and installs wiring, motors, motor controls, PLCs, drives, transformers, lighting, instrumentation, valves and other electrical systems.
• Maintain and repair equipment including DCS, PLC equipment, variable speed drives, level, pressure and temperature controls, and automatic and pneumatic controls.
• Provide technical support using electrical testing equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
• Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence.
• Apply NFPA guidelines including NEC 70.
