Job summary

IES Residential is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Colorado Springs to handle installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on client sites. You will read plans, diagnose issues quickly, and ensure work meets safety standards and codes.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical systems, be able to read blueprints, and maintain clear documentation. On-site, with occasional travel, you will collaborate with teams and support project timelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, or troubleshooting electrical systems preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary.
• Experience supporting field operations or assisting senior technicians is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate project execution.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist with supporting and training less experienced technicians as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
