Job summary

C3M Power Systems in Washington, DC is seeking a Journeyman Electrician Tech with NICET Level 3 or higher for full-time work on transportation and industrial projects. You will install fire alarm devices, panels, wiring, and controls, then program, configure, and test life-safety systems to NFPA 72 standards.

Qualified candidates have 5–7 years of fire alarm experience and an apprenticeship background; electrical license is preferred.

Qualifications

• NICET level 3 or higher required or equivalent certification.
• 5–7 years of fire alarm-related work experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
• Current electrical license preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations on transportation and/or industrial construction projects.
• Install fire alarm devices, control panels, wiring, and conduit per drawings.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot fire alarm control panels and devices.
• Commission life-safety systems and perform acceptance testing per NFPA 72, IBC, AHJ.
• Configure fire alarm workstations and manage database, software updates, and networking.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, AHJs, and general contractors.
• Support service and troubleshooting for programming, networking, and system issues.
• Diagnose wiring issues such as ground faults, opens, and shorts.
