Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Journeyman Electrician, Main Maintenance - 2nd Shift to support our manufacturing facilities and ensure reliable operation of plant equipment. You will read drawings, install circuits, and troubleshoot critical systems to maintain production uptime.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a Vermont State Journeyman License, and at least 4 years of electrical experience. Master Electrician level will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience preferred.
• Vermont State Journeyman License required; Master Electrician level considered based on qualifications.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g., ammeters, voltmeters, conduit-bending tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment.
• Plan and perform work following electrical principles, codes, and material specs.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical equipment by tracing and testing circuits.
• Install conduit, switches, controls, and fixtures; wire equipment per NEC standards.
• Calibrate plant equipment as needed.
• Maintain safety and minimize interference with operations.
• Clean work area after maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment and to determine materials and parts needed.
• Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, codes and properties of various materials.
• Locate source of trouble in electrical equipment when needed, by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation.
• Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures. Wire and connect all types of electrical equipment as required for new installation or replacement of facilities, per the National Electrical Code.
• Perform calibration of plant equipment, as required.
• Consider all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations.
• Clean up machinery and work area after performing maintenance functions.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Must possess a minimum of a Vermont State Journeyman License. We will consider Master Electrician level depending on candidate qualifications.
• Must possess applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g. ammeters, voltmeter, conduit-bending equipment, power hand tools and hand tools.
• Must possess applicable knowledge of plant machinery and equipment, replacement parts, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $39,000.00 - $88,000.00 USD.
