Job summary

RD Electric in Lewiston, Idaho, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our locally owned team. The role focuses on residential and commercial electrical work, following NEC standards, with opportunities for growth and local projects across the LC Valley.

Qualifications

• Degree from electrician school is required.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable in all kinds of working and weather conditions.
• Applicant must have a valid electrician license.
• Candidate must have completed electrician apprenticeship.
• Must hold a valid Washington (01) Journeyman Electrician license. (An Idaho license is a strong plus).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
• In-depth knowledge of the NEC and local regulations.
• Proficient in both residential and commercial electrical work.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A professional, positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings in accordance with the NEC.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform service upgrades, panel changes, and device installations.
• Lead projects and communicate with clients to ensure needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and professional appearance.
• Mentor apprentices and help them develop skills.
