Miller Electric Company is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join a team focused on delivering high-quality electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. The role emphasizes reading plans, troubleshooting, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring safety and code compliance on site.

Applicants should hold a valid Journeyman license and be able to perform physically demanding work while maintaining strong leadership and communication with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the electrical trade, codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to assess situations, interpret specifications, and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and sustain physical effort.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems in commercial/industrial environments.
• Read and interpret plans, troubleshoot complex issues, ensure code compliance.
• Mentor and guide Apprentices and CW/CE team members.
• Collaborate with Field Superintendent/Foreman to deliver results.
• Maintain safe, clean work sites and follow safety guidelines.
• Perform testing of motors, controls, and safety systems.
• Provide leadership on projects and training for less experienced staff.
