Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an Electrician (Non Driver) to perform a range of electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair at primarily a fixed location.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, complete an electrician apprenticeship or equivalent, and 3–5 years of commercial/industrial experience with NEC codes and safety standards. Must read blueprints and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification as required by local and state regulations.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety standards.
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Plan layouts and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Work from blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist other electricians and tradespeople as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
