Job summary

Building Waters seeks a licensed Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings. You will read diagrams, install wiring and panels, diagnose issues, and ensure NEC compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems; light commercial experience is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of the NEC.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial properties.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Install wiring, panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and other components.
• Diagnose electrical problems and propose effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Communicate with customers and explain repairs.
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately.
• Assist in training apprentice electricians.
• Collaborate with team to finish projects on schedule.
