Job summary

New Mexico Department of Health is seeking a licensed journeyman electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across the facility. You will manage emergency power systems, generators, switchboards, and pump systems to ensure resident safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have journeyman certification, NM licensing, and the ability to work independently, while documenting inspections and tests for CMS/NFPA requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed journeyman electrician with NM certification requirements.
• Experience with generators, switchboards, ATS, and pump systems.
• Knowledge of CMS/NFPA safety standards and applicable codes.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems throughout the facility.
• Perform testing and maintenance of emergency power systems and generators.
• Respond promptly to outages and safety concerns; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, testing, and compliance activities.
